Export controls and compliance with the various U.S. regulations has long been a complex issue for exporters. Determining agency jurisdiction, understanding the terminology and classification under the appropriate regulations is difficult and requires training as well as access to resources.
The compliance process has only become more complex under the Export Control Reform (ECR) initiatives and changes to the regulations. Noncompliance can be costly and even lead to the loss of export privileges.
